Many folks ask me why I chose to pursue photography, and what the catalyst was. It is without a doubt the ability to remind families how important they are to each other. My hope is that in years to come, your children will pick up your pictures and see how you, their parent, looked at them with such love. I have photographed many families over the years, and some have impacted me immensely (read here). I strive to make my family images relay a feeling, and I hope that comes through when you see my work.
At Beth Merritt Photography, we believe in pampering you. I sincerely believe we have the best staff on the planet. Shelli, our Studio Manager, makes sure no detail is missed and that all your needs are met before and after the shoot. Ashley, a trained nanny and lighting assistant, will help make your children laugh and giggle during the session… and well, as you may have guessed, I take the pictures. I’ll walk through my pictures at the shoot just to make sure you are truly pleased with the session. Many lesser photographers hide the pictures until later – I believe a legit photographer should be able to shamelessly show you their work on the spot.
We do not believe in pushy sales sessions… I am proud to report we (rather frequently) talk people out of buying things they don’t need or have a plan for. We stand for helping families create cherished and lasting memories – not buying everything in sight. We don’t want you to go broke and we don’t want you to hate us when you see that box of “I still haven’t put them up yet” photos from a year ago. We sincerely want you to be happy with the whole experience, and go away with killer pictures that make you smile every time you walk by them.
Great experience. Killer pictures. No pushy sales sessions. …I hope this helps explain what we’re all about. The family sessions (led by me) and High School Senior Sessions (led by Sarah – who is a seriously incredible photographer by the way) can be found happening all over the city. If you see us, come over and say hi… we’d love to meet you and let you see us in action.
Have a wonderful day… and thanks for visiting!
